Tilda in Key Largo

Afternoon everyone, I hope you have all been enjoying the sun!

Today I've used one of the Tilda stamps I was lucky enough to win - Tilda in Key Largo. I like this card, it looks very simple but I think it's nice.

I used:

  • MS PATP
  • Tilda in Key Largo Stamp
  • Bakers Twine
  • Magnolia Doily Flowers Die
  • Pro & Flexmarkers
  • Brads/Pearls/Flowers
  • Kraft Card
  • Spotty Embossing Folder

This Mornings Make

As it was my birthday on Monday I treated myself to the week off work. This morning for the first time this week I was able to make a card using one of the stamps I got for my birthday. I so wanted this one, I'd been waiting ages for it!

My plan was to use the beautiful Maja Designs paper pad I also got for my birthday with this stamp, but I quickly realised I have no promarkers which would get the right colour match for the paper. Sadly I changed my mind because the other paper is so beautiful I want whatever I make with it to be amazing, so I switched to different paper. I think this is a BoBunny one but these were odd sheets my mum gave me from a pad of hers so I'm not 100%.

Anyway, without further ado...

I used the following:

  • Tilda stamp
  • Promarkers
  • Wild Orchid flowers
  • Guipere Lace
  • Seam Binding
  • Glitter glue
  • Glossy accents
  • Pearls
  • Kraft card (& I think BoBunny paper)
  • Glimmer mist
I'd like to enter this card into a few challenges:

What I've Been Making - Last 12 Months

Okay, so as I mentioned in my previous post, I haven't really updated my blog over the past year. Because of that I thought I'd post a few examples of what I've been up to recently... Please click on the pictures for a bigger view.

Mum's Christmas Card

  • Magnolia paper, stamp and die
  • LOTV sentiment stamp
  • Kids! glittery foam snowflakes
  • Puffy snow stuff which I forget the name of...
  • Promarkers
  • Nesties

 Mum's Wedding Card

I so wish I had better photos for this, the vellum was beautiful in real life.

  • MS lacey heart punch
  • Magnolia stamp
  • Pearls
  • Wild Orchid flowers
  • Beautiful Docrafts glittery velum
  • Promarkers
  • Tim Holtz Die
  • Pearls/glitter etc
 Birthday Card
I work as a team leader. I have 12 people in my team and always make their birthday cards. Below is a recent one. The colours of the flowers look strange in the photo but I promise the looked okay in real life.

  • Beautiful Maja Design paper -  A recent discovery which I'm now obsessed with
  • Tim Holtz butterfly die
  • Magnolia doiley and fence dies
  • Woodware grass punch
  • Magnolia stamp (can't remember what stamp the sentiment is)
  • Flowers
  • Tattered angels glimmer mist
  • Ranger crackle glaze

A Fresh Start

Over the last year I didn't post in my blog much, this was due to a few things including working long hours, and ongoing family problems. I've decided that I'd very much like to start blogging again and have made this new blog to start from scratch.

To be completely honest I was planning on just adding to my old blog, but I've made a complete mess of the layout which I'm not able to fix (usually I'm able to work it out, but not this time)!

Anyhoo, I like the idea of having a fresh start so not so bad...

For those of you who haven't seen my old blog, I'm a card maker. My first love is Magnolia as you'll come to see - I was very lucky and won £300 of Magnolia goodies on their blog last month - I couldn't believe my luck. I also love Penny Black though I don't have so many of their stamps, and to a lesser extent LOTV.

I turned 26 three days ago so I guess I'm quite young to have a hobby like this, but I love it all the same. I tried to avoid getting into it because I knew it would cost me a small fortune, but eventually my mum sucked me in!

I work full time so I don't have as much time to dedicate to making cards as I'd like, but I'm hoping to be able to post once a week. Fingers crossed...
